This menu includes everything you need for a delicious 4 course meal at home for Valentine’s day. And, of course, dessert is included! But don’t worry, each recipe is relatively simple to make. It also includes a make ahead appetizer and dessert. Best yet, all of the recipes are made with real, wholesome ingredients but taste absolutely amazing!
These recipes are pretty and sophisticated too, so it’s sure to impress your guests or significant other. No one will know it was minimum effort on your part.
The recipes included are: cranberry orange gin fizz, whipped goat cheese with cranberry jalapeño jam, blackberry bacon spinach salad, balsamic braised short ribs, and luscious vegan chocolate mousse.

The appetizer and cocktail
Before dinner, your guests can snack on this whipped goat cheese with cranberry jalapeño jam and and sip on this pretty, sparkly cranberry orange fizz!
This whipped goat cheese with cranberry jalapeño jam and cranberry orange gin fizz are the perfect pairing with the classic winter flavors of sweet tart cranberry and bright orange. Oh it sounds sophisticated and fancy. But it’s so simple and easy! Plus, pretty and festive too!


The Salad
For your first course, start the meal off with this blackberry and bacon spinach salad with balsamic tahini dressing (recipe below). This unexpected flavor combo is crazy good! Plus, those pretty hues of dark purple from the blackberries and pops of ruby red from the dried cranberries make this salad perfect for the occasion.

The Main
These Balsamic Braised Short Ribs feature perfectly charred and fork tender beef short ribs in a rich, velvety balsamic red wine sauce and served over creamy, cheesy polenta. This show stopping sophisticated meal is actually surprisingly easy to make and perfect for date night!

Dessert
This vegan chocolate mousse is a delectable, delicious dessert perfect for Valentine’s Day! Blackberry Bacon Spinach Salad
A delicious, wholesome salad featuring spinach, blackberries, bacon, goat cheese, dried cranberries, and candied pecans with a creamy tahini balsamic dressing.
Ingredients
Salad
- 1 5 oz bag spinach about 4-5 cups
- 1 cup blackberries
- 1/3 cup crumbled bacon
- 1/2 cup goat cheese
- 2 tablespoons candied walnuts more or less to taste
- 2 tablespoons dried cranberries more or less to taste
Dressing
- ¼ cup tahini
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp. Dijon
- Dashes Worcestershire
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder, optional
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Splash water to thin it out
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a large serving bowl, add the spinach. Top with the remaining ingredients.

For the dressing, mix together the tahini through olive oil until smooth. Add a little water to thin it out. Season with salt and pepper.

Before serving, dress the salad with desired amount of dressing.
