Ingredients

  • 1 French baguette white or whole wheat
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 cup herbed cream cheese I used Boursin, light kind
  • 1 cup fig jam
  • 1 cup fresh arugula
  • 1 pound thinly sliced roast beef good quality

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Meanwhile, cut the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices. One whole baguette should yield about 20 pieces. Add olive oil and a little garlic salt to each slice of bread.

  3. Toast the bread slices for 5 minutes in the oven, or until crispy and slightly golden brown. Let cool slightly.

  4. To each crostini, spread about a tablespoon of garlic spread, a tablespoon of fig jam, a few pieces of arugula, and a slice of roasted beef (more or less of spread and jam depending on your own personal preference). Repeat until all the crostini's are assembled.

  5. Serve and enjoy!
