Fig and Bacon Flatbread

Ingredients

  • 2 whole wheat naan breads
  • ½ tablespoon of olive oil
  • ½ tsp garlic salt
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • ¼ cup crumbled fig goat cheese plain works too
  • 2-3 fresh figs sliced*
  • 3 slices bacon cooked and chopped
  • 3-4 basil leaves coarsely chopped, for garnish
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2-3 teaspoon hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°
  2. Drizzle each naan with olive oil and garlic salt.
  3. Top each naan with an equal amount of the shredded mozzarella, goat cheese, fresh sliced figs, and chopped bacon. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cheese is fully melted.
  4. While the naan cook, combine the honey and desired amount of hot sauce to make the hot honey.
  5. Remove the flatbread from the oven and allow to cool slightly, 3-5 minutes. Cut into slices. Drizzle with hot honey.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
