Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas chopped and frozen
  • 2 heaping tablespoons peanut butter or nut butter of choice
  • 4 teaspoons cacao powder*
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1+1/2 cup almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1/2 cup cold brew or more almond milk if don’t want caffeine
  • 2 dates pits removed
  • Pinch salt

Instructions

  1. In a blender, add all of the ingredients except the additional half cup of almond milk and blend until smooth.

  2. If smoothie is too thick, add extra milk, 1/4 cup at a time, until you reach your desired consistency (can add more milk if want a thinner smoothie).

  3. Pour into 2-3 gasses.
  4. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

Cacao powder tends to be less rich than cocoa powder - so if using cocoa powder instead, may want to use a little less.

If your dates seem too dry or hard, I recommended soaking them in hot water for an hour to overnight to help them soften and blend better in the smoothie.
